We’re camped out in the middle of a pasture on a beautiful farm on the Coromandel peninsula in the town of Colville.
Quinne’s day on the farm starts with taking care of the lambies.
Their mother died, so someone has to feed them from a bottle.
Quinne really enjoys feeding the little lambs.
Then it’s off to fetch the eggs before milking Daisy.
Sometimes Quinne gets to milk Daisy all by herself.
Then Quinne enjoys a glass of warm milk right from the cow.
so does her brother who stays in the back pack (Beck trap) so he doesn’t scare daisy.
Then it’s time to play. And there’s plenty to do on the farm like swimming, or swinging…
or climbing trees…
or just playing…
In the evening, when the sun isn’t so strong, we can go to the beach.
It’s not a bad life staying on a farm.

I think the experience you're giving your kids at the moment has to be the best gift ever! What a fun time experiencing farm life and I've heard it's not easy to milk cows, and yet that adorable little Quinne has it "licked". Does non pasteurised milk agree with them better than pasteurised? No allergies I hope. The lambs are adorable and will think Quinne is their mother! Lots of love, Mum
The kids don't seem to have a problem with milk either way these days. Beck loves the warm cows milk. We'll leave the farm tomorrow to head south.

We visited Coromandel when we were there. But I don't remember it exactly. Is that the beach with the hot water bubbling up through the sand? Love Mum
Ma,
Yes, there is a beach on the east coast with hot water just under the sand. When we were there the surf was too strong and the waves kept washing our holes away. It was interesting though.
Love,
O
